Exclamation Need maintenance advices on my TL

Hello everyone,

I have a TL 2006 AT with 150k kilometers on it.

I bought it when it had 50k kilometers and the previous owner did nothing but engine oil changes.

Since then, I did engine oil changes, and changed front and rear brakes . That's it. Yeah really..

Any advices and recommendations? What should be changed/verified?

Thank you very much!

Well the 165km service is coming up!!! Make sure you get that done. That's the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, etc.

Change all of your other fluids too! Your ATF, Brake fluid, and power steering fluid. Change your air filter and cabin filter.

Inspect the engine mounts and replace those if necessary, your accessory drive belt probably needs to be replaced too.

How are the tires? What about the alignment?

These are all of the places that I would start. I would also take it to a dealer for a thorough inspection to make sure I didn't miss anything.

You recommend to visit a dealer? I will probably end up with a 1000$ - 2000$ estimate at a dealer.

How about a local garage? Not recommended?

Where are you- some Honda dealers (like Hamilton Honda) can do a lot of the work for a lot less.

I didn't say go in and accept whatever recommendation they give you lol. Dealers service more of their own cars than anyone else, and they receive monthly newsletters/service bulletins with common issues. The reason I suggest taking it to a dealer is that they can provide you with a more thorough inspection than an independent shop.

I'm not saying spend whatever money they ask you to. But at least they'll be able to tell you what your car needs in addition to everything I've already listed.
