I did my first drain and fill at 15,500 miles as I recall. Since the transmission in my '04 had never displayed any of the problems or concerns that others had reported, the GMSFM made little difference from the original juice, though there was a slightly noticeable increase in smoothness.

I don't see where a weighted shift ball would be a threat to the synchronizers or sleeves at all since the shifter linkage is what "locks" the shifter into its various positions. You should be fine. But don't you like the stock shifter? Personally, I think this is one of the things that Acura did that really looks great in the interior. The shifter just looks like it belongs.

How's it goin bro sorry I haven't got a chance to really introduce myself or chat, so i have a question for u since u have had ur TL for awhile now did u notice a difference in shifting with the GM synchromesh like smoother or more crisp/ notchier, or no difference? And do u think that a weighted shift knob adds more stress to the syncros? Thanks ahead for your time and input

What you described, engine gaining RPM's while vehicle was not accelerating, is a classic symptom of a bad clutch. However, the problem could be in the hydraulic control system - it is possible and has happened to quite a few people on this site. Have that checked first before going to the expense of a clutch replacement. How many miles are on the car?

Really I mean an entire thread. Some of the more inane threads make me want to not visit the forum. I want to mark a complete thread as "ignore" so it does not appear in the list. I realize this is probably not possible, just asking.

Possible to ignore a post? Flag it so it no longer shows up? Etc. Thanks.

Question for you ... I've recently come out of a CL, where (on the CL Forum) my username was/is Y2K3CL-S. I have been using this for the past week on the TL Forum prior to acquiring my new 4G TL. Is is possible (once I decide what to change it to) to keep my old username on the CL Forum and create a new name for this Forum (and have the mods change any posts on the 4G Forum from my old username to the new one)?

    tks

    Mike
