Pics of 35% Tint?

Does anyone have pics of all-around 35% tint job? I was thinking of getting that on my 2005 TL but wanted to see what that would look like first, I live in Florida so I can't go darker than 28%

tzakiel 11-08-2005 10:15 PM

half the cars on here go for 35% mine is 45 so i am not sure i can be much help but a quick check through some of the threads will show a lot of 35% jobs.

acuranewbie 11-08-2005 10:20 PM

Actually do you have pics of your car with 45? I'm thinking 35 might be too dark in the back, some posters have said it's hard to see at night

This is 35%, not really a great picture, it was raining. it looks a little lighter in person

acuranewbie 11-08-2005 11:10 PM

those look like zennetti FIVES.
their hotter in chrome
but nice rims

Spider0079 11-08-2005 11:32 PM

They are the Zenetti Fives. I don't like chrome on silver, thats why I went with hyper silver.

I have 35% tint all around, 50% on the windshield. Mine is AM, not SSM, though. My last car (Eclipse) was silver and I had 20% on it, which looked awesome... but my bro's 03 TL-S has 35% and it looks very classy.

My AM TL pics:

Anthracite w/Camel interior and 35%..... It would look darker if I had the ebony interior, but I'm happy with the results and wouldn't go any darker.

Based on these pics I think the 35% looks good, my only concern is whether it's too dark for the front and rear in terms of driving, so I gotta think about that before I do it but thanks for the pics everyone

silver05tl 11-10-2005 10:20 AM

don't worry about being too dark, driving conditions are fine. it kind of like navi, your not sure whether you want it or not. if you don't get it then you'll alway regret it, and if you do you know it was a good choice.

my CL has 35% on the sides and 30% in the back... my TL is un-tinted...

from inside the car, you can barely tell the difference. especially at night... you really cant tell its tinted at all from inside.

acuranewbie 11-10-2005 02:58 PM

Cool, maybe I'll get the 35% after all, I really do think it looks nice

datplayaz 11-10-2005 09:44 PM

35% isn't that dark... you'll like it, if you go with anything lighter you might regret it. If anything I regret not going darker.

words of advice

Just a few words of advice for people running dark window tint. Cops *hate* approaching a vehicle that they can't see inside of. I can't say that I blame them. If you do get pulled over:

1) roll down all your windows
2) if it's dark out, turn on the interior dome light
3) keep your hands on the wheel as the officer approaches your car.

This behavior once enabled me to walk away from a really stupid high speed maneuver that I pulled in the middle of a suburban town center with only a warning.

I definitely don't plan on getting tint so dark that could lead to a ticket, it might look cool but not worth the hassle

Ka0tik 11-10-2005 11:38 PM

see how some of the tint is dull and others are real shiny, what is up with that. i know its not because the car is dirty because that is the same as my friends bmw...
