3rd clutch pressure switch replacement

I have a 1999 3.2 TL. I have pulled a P1739 code. I see that I probably need to replace the 3rd clutch pressure switch. Can someone please post a diagram or picture showing where the 3rd clutch pressure switch is located? The Acura part # would big a huge plus.

I'm blown away that this appears to be a common problem but, I can't find the location or part number and my local Acura and Honda parts counters can't tell me which switch is the third. What gives???

I don't have the part number on hand. but it locates in the lower back cover of the transmission. Should be black in color, if you look at the cover from the lower side, there is a small stamp of a number 3 means 3 gear next to it (oil passage) Any transmission part store sells it, sometimes it can be clean up with cleaner. It will set a code if there is some debris from the tranny get in to the switch and clog it up, doesn't take much to clogged it up.

I jacked up the drivers side of the car and pulled the plastic covers loose around the transmission. I found the number 3 as described right behing the wheel and below the battery. I pulled the switch and cleaned it out with carb cleaner as suggested. Then I cleared the code and everything seems to be ok now. Thanks for the help.

Update ???

Still lurking about?

If so, can you give us an update? Did the code stay away?

Good point. The code came back in 2-3 months so, I had to replace the switch. At least it was easy to find the second time.
