As for myself, I'm rather new to the forum, but I've read the first six pages of this thread and I have some thoughts (my ethnicity will come in a second)...

I'm not racist, but I do have an interest in knowing who drives a TL, and I mean ethnically. Do I really care or have an opinion about who drives one? No! But my curiosity had me... so I'm glad this poll is here. To me this is no different than asking the ages of everyone who drives a TL, or what states you live in... its just statistical data, not a reason to judge anyone.

So, as for me... I'm:

-Born in Bellingham, WA, USA
-Raised in Bellingham/Seattle, WA, USA
-Live in Seattle, WA, USA
-Nationality is obviously United States Citizen ("American" is a very BROAD answer)...
-Ethnicity is a mix of English, Irish, Scottish, German, Norwegian, and Czech... (mostly) Northern European Heinz 57!! But I'm a direct descendant of Reverend John Lathrop... go on wikipedia and you'll see how long my roots have been in this country, yet I consider myself no more "American" that someone whose parents were born in China, but was born and raised here! Welcome to the melting pot of the world!

Oh yeah, a W3RD UP to the Indians (from India)! I've been raised with that culture, and I plan to make my third trip to India this coming winter, with plans to do some research on buying a place in Goa in a year, and move there for 2-3 years, or until this economy BS is over with...

What an endurance this thread has! Nearly five years and still going strong!

Anyway. I can see the numbers in the poll but how can this be interpreted in the context of the total U.S. demographics? I mean, for example, only about 4-5% are Asian vs 37% TL owners; 74% Caucasian vs 34% TL owners; 13% Black vs 8% TL owners etc.

Again, how to interpret this?

I will also add to the Vietnamese list. I originally bought this car because none of my friends had it. They all have Audi S4's, When it came to me to do the car shopping, they told me to get an s4 and join the club. I wanted to be different, so I got a TL, without realizing that every other asian in the world and their mom's has one. sigh...

your "heritage" or ethinicity as stated above may be elsewhere.. but we are all american.
