Back to reality...
If anyone has info about installing this in the 2012 version, please chime in. I'm still looking for an opportunity to ask the dealer to show me the schematic of the 2012 to see if it's different from 09-11.

KP, thanks for your help. FYI it's raining and generally pretty foul weather here and I don't have a garage so I can't take the door apart again for a while. I'm going to arm myself with schematic info from the dealer and then take measurements again in the door maybe this weekend.
I'm working on another situation. Can you provide me a schematic for the door electronics with a smart key? Trying to get a signal when you push the lock button on the handle(outside) and when you touch the handle and it unlocks.

Not a problem - I'll keep an eye on this thread.

If anyone has a 2012 TL near the Dayton, Ohio area and wants a free module installed let me know (assuming we can get it to work).

Dude, if you read through this thread, you would've seen that I posted that part of the schematic back here - assuming you're talking about a 09-11 model. Not sure about the 2012 yet.

I'm not seeing a picture or schematic in that post... Referring to a 2012, but will take a 09-11.

Not really sure what you're asking for. The last half of this thread is talking about the potential difference between the 2012 and the 09-11 TLs and the fact that there is no available schematic for the 2012 - only for 09-11 and that other than buying the 2012 Helm FSM for $190, I was going to try to get the dealer to show me the schematic for the 2012.

Please be specific in your requests for information.

Do you have the schematic for the 09-11 TL for the door/smart key wiring?

OK, there must be something wonky with how I'm posting images. I changed the album I'm posting from to Public from Private - maybe that will make the images visible?

OK, potmilkz, we're a little off topic here but I'll indulge you.
Here's a circuit you can make yourself:
http://rriis.com/content/automobile-lamp-dimmer-circuit
And here's a module you can buy:
http://www.digi-motive.com/products/
Any further silly puddle lights questions should go in a new thread, please.

I can see the pics now do you know where brown wire off the front door lock goes to? Still can't figure out how it's 5v on the lt. Blue wire but when you touch the handle the voltage drops.

Again, we're off topic here (thread hijacking). This thread is about the KP Technologies Window Roll-Up Module installation. You should start a new thread. PM/email sent with the info you're looking for.

Getting back on topic, today I went to the dealer who kindly printed off the schematic for my 2012 and lo and behold... it's exactly the same as 09-11:

So I'm at a loss to explain why I cannot measure any voltage activity on the pink wire when I activate the circuit. I guess I'll have to take the door apart and measure again - this time with a buddy to help me activate the circuit while I measure.

I figured it out this morning. The wire I needed to find for the Door Lock Switch Output was in the adjacent connector:

The other end of this wire is at the same connector that the blue wire connects to:

Although mostly covered with Magic Wrap for sound proofing (anti-rattle), you can make out the 2 connections I've made here for the module's blue and green wires.

It now works perfectly!

2012 TL owners take note: the little pink wire per the OP how-to is not the correct wire for us - it's the thick pink one in the adjacent connector (or connect where I did).

I would hesitate to call pink up per se, the pink wire highlighted with the red arrow I superimposed - in the right connector - is the lock signal from the key cylinder. The corresponding unlock signal is one of the brown wires in the left connector.

Now that I've taken a close look at the wiring diagram from my dealer for my 2012, it becomes obvious that the signal wire needed for the KP Window Roll Up Module's green wire is in a different connector. Here's a zoom in on the wiring diagram:

It's clear that the brown unlock signal is in connector C753 while the elusive pink lock signal is in connector C754.

Thanks. I found that over the weekend after some testing. It is brown

If you have a pre-2012 (2009-2011) model, use the info from the OP. It's only the 2012, like mine, where the one signal is different.

Hi, BartmanEH
It would be a great appreciation if you can edit OP's instruction and make changes for installing the module for 2012 model. Thanks

For the 2012 model, everything is the same as the instructions in the PDF How To by the original poster EXCEPT for the KP Module's Green wire - it doesn't connect to the skinny Pink wire per the OP's How To - it must connect to the Pink wire in the adjacent connector per this photo:

Sorry, I don't have time to make a whole new How To. All the information is there and there's only one connection that needs to be made differently as I have noted above.

follow up: flickr image locations have changed. For the '12 model TL, follow the OP's instructions except for where to connect the green wire. Connect the green wire here instead:

Man Thanks for the awesome write up with the pics... it made the install super easy... my only little issue was one wire hooked up incorrectly... The wire the yellow goes to... you called Turquoise, I call it Mint green.. so I hooked that up to the wrong wire... after looking close at the pics I figured it out and all is good!... but if anyone is getting an error where the windows only roll up about an inch with each double click of the remote... unplug the yellow wire and test (yellow wire isn't needed to make it work) if this fixes the issue... look close at the pics to verify you have the correct wire in the harness... The yellow wire makes it not work when the car is running so it's optional...
