Need help from somebody with Helm manual

I am trying to find out what friction area of front brake pads on 2gen CL.
Can some body with Helm manual tell me the spec?

It should be in specification chapter under design specification.

Thank you

hey fsttyms1 I'm trying to hardwire my V1 radar detector can you possibly scan or take a digital pic of the drivers side fuse box wiring diagram in the helms manual. I gotto know which color wire and fuse goes to the cigerette lighter.

hook it to the back side of the drivers side fuse panel. there is a spot (lower left) thats an accessory optional conector. its conected to fuse #8 all it takes to wire to it is a female spade conector

any way you can scan that page of the helms that shows a wiring diagram of the drivers side fuse box that shows what fuses go to which items and the colors of the wire that correspond with it?

the manual doesnt show that. If you look at the back side you wont have to tap any wires with those conectors.

#27 is what i would use

the back side its reall easy. you can see it from looking under the dash, or by removing the lower dash panel (1 screw) its a spade conector. All it takes is a female spade to conect to it)

yea fsttyms1 I hardwired my Valentine 1 last night and it works perfectly. Only wire you barely see is the wire going from the right side of the detector up to the headliner. And I snaked that wire inbetween the 2 suction cups. Looks cool. Due to the angle of our windshield and the placement of our rear view mirror, I mounted the detector centered underneith the rear view mirror as high as possible but where the rear-redar piece of the detector can see out my rear window without obstructing it's view. Looks cool.

Just to clarify, you want to connect the female spade connector to #27 and not #26 (which has red highlight around it). I'm a complete newbie on this but I want to hardwire my sirius receivers 12v power lead. It sounds like I can connect it directly to #27. Can I just connect the ground lead to anything that's metal in the area?

Right the red one circled is for if you do fog lights or indaglo gauges. That one only powers up with the headlights. Yes then just attach a ground. There is a ground screw right near by the fuse box there anyway

Is there a 5v connection there as well? I have a TomTom GPS unit that I would like to hard wire to the care that requires a 5v power source.

The power cord that goes into the cig. lighter is 12v but the output of that which goes to the GPS unit is 5v.

does the cig lighter knock it down or goes the gps itself do it? You wont find a 5v connection in the car.

The cig adapter converts it from 12v to 5v. Guess I'm out of luck regarding a 5v connection. Thanks for the info.
