Bankz do you still have your original brakes? I do any no one believes me - LOL! My 2004 has 180k miles and it's only needed routine maintenance, I don't even have a rattle. LOVE this car! I'm waiting for the 5G.

My 05 TL has 118k miles on it bought it with 116k, had to replace all the brake pads and rotors and found out my rear driver side caliper is seized. Needs a new timing belt and fluids flushed. I have several lights on the dash going out and the center console PRND lights dont light up anymore. but other than that the engine and tranny is running good and strong!

Mine is about to hit 115,000. I went from 8 miles in Dec of '05 to 70k in the first 2 years or so. Stopped commuting in it and over the past couple years it gets under 6k a year. Over the last 3 weeks though, I've been driving it into work instead of using the company car so 100 miles a day and it has me stressed out. Soft tires, repainted front end with the new windshield, I'm just waiting for a chip or crack and the tires are generally good for only 12,000 which is fine when it only occurs every couple years. One more week and I can go back to the company car. I don't know why it bothers me more now that the car is older than it did when it was new. After doing the valve adjustment at 113,000 miles and seeing what's basically a brand new engine I have no worries the engine will outlast the rest of the car. I've never seen a valvetrain so clean and hardly broken in, intake valves that look like the engine has never been started and piston tops that look brand new with the only carbon being around the edges and it's more like a little discoloration, no buildup. Who needs Seafoam lol.

That is amazing. No wonder these cars can easily hit 200K/300K miles (well any honda in general).

Question Upgrade 05 to 08 TL?

05 TL w/ Navi - 235,000K and still going strong...

Since this car has been sooooooo good to me, I'm thinking about upgrading to the 2008 TL w/ Navi (the last model year before they changed the body).

"Should I stay or should I go"

Need some advice before I sink $20K into a 08 TL w/ 30,000+ miles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

I just hit 149,000 miles today and still running strong.

Hopefully I can remember to take a picture of the odometer at 150,000 miles.

Had the dealer do it around 125,000 - a little expensive but it was the only money I put into the car other than brakes & tires and a trans flush. Now, at 235,000 miles, its getting close to that time to replace the belt again and wondering whether the money would be better spent in buying another TL (2008 Model which is similar to mine).

I also have a son who will be turning 16 in September and will looking for his "1st car". My thoughts were to sink some money into this car - perhaps have timing belt changed again & have them replace CV joint on passenger front axel (to stop that annoying clicking sound when I turn). May need brakes and/or tires sooner or later as well so I'm really stuck deciding what to do?????

176k on my 06. I bought it at 144k as 2nd owner. not bad, no major maintenance done so far, just routine oil changes, filter changes etc. And just not too long ago my ignition switch went out. Other than that, runs like a beauty.

'06 6MT with almost 120k. Had it since August '08 when I bought it with a giant-at-the-time 80k. Had the timing belt done at 118k with no signs of wear whatsoever on the original one. Replaced the rear struts last month which had been leaking for a few months, as well as a rear caliper that was seizing up. Other than that, its all been routine stuff. Its my 3rd Acura ('91 Integra, '06 RSX-S), 5th Honda product, and i'm more than likely sticking with the Honda/Acura line for a long time to come.

Im about to hit 160k on mine. Bought it at 105, did the timing belt, water pump etc, put it a new tranny under warranty with a new three year warranty, about to take it back to get it checked out. Also have gone through a few sets of brakes and tires, recently added a j-pipe and HFPC, a-spec suspension, front and rear sway bars. I drive it likes its new. Instead of "rasp", I was blessed with this awesome turbo like sound after the cats went on. My passenger window motor went out, I just keep it up and locked. Its not a priority fix for me. As long as my window and the sunroof work, Im all good. The radio also seems like it is starting to run out of breath. Ive also changed out all of the mounts, rims, tires, and a new paint job thanks to the 18 wheeler that smashed me into a wall on 610. I got just enough from the insurance company with out totaling the car that I was able to change the color and upgrade the rims and tires. It was going to get a full paint job so why not go with a color I like!

223,000. Original transmission. Only issues have been power steering rebuild, window motor, starter and my seat recently wore through!

RP XPR racing oil, Redline D4 transmission fluid. Blue LED day time running lights, 10k low beam HID's Tires I love the fierce ZR tires which handle very well. 2006 AM Bought at 83k in July 2012, currently at a little over 90k and all is well other than (a) the memory seat lights have gone out, which I'm assuming might be a fuse, and (b) the bluetooth module died recently.

i just hit 156,000 on my '04 TL...i bought it with 40k miles 4 years ago.

i just had the valve adjustment done last week and the engine is running like brand new again..i also put in new ignition coils, spark plugs and replaced the 3rd & 4th pressure switches on the tranny...all done last week and the car runs like new and am hoping to get it to 250k before i think about another car. i originally was thinking of selling it in the spring, but since it's running like new again i am keeping it!
