So I programmed the homelink button in my 04 TL and immediately noticed that lack of range it has.

I'd have be at the end of the driveway to get the door to open (1.5 carlength driveway). Anyone else feel that the homelink has a short range, or is this my problem only?

I've had some inconsistent results. Sometimes I have to be up close next to the garage door, most other times it will work fine from 25 feet away. This is on an '08.

ya i have the same problem the range is not soo good, i have to be really close to gate to make it work.. sometimes i have to press button three or 4 times to open the door. The factory remote which came with mine home link works really great even from a long distance..

x 2 on my '05 TL.

The range also may depend on the receiving antenna's placement too. My mom's condo garage requires the TL to be close to the gate, but the parking lot gate at my office works fine from a distance.

The range seems alright on mine ... 75-100ft., but I always have to hold the button a little longer than most garage door remotes require.

Well, I guess it isn't just me or just the '04; so the question now is this, has anyone improved their range. Either with the homelink or the receiver of the opener?
