TLX Cover Story in New "Style" Magazine

Just got my Spring/Summer 2014 issue of Acura "Style" Magazine and the TLX is featured prominently on the cover. Haven't read the full article yet but didn't see any new information. However there are some very fine shots of the car itself in a "slate blue" color (appears to be I-4 version) and the instrument panel.

Yea I got this too. I dont understand Acura's marketing team with some of the photos in that style magazine. They're comparing attributes of the car with different people posing next to it. A runner, karate coach, crossbow coach, etc. While I understand its a car aimed at different life styles, comparing it with attributes of different people is a little off. It should be compared to other vehicles.

I got it last week. Read it and they are comparing the different types people to the characteristics of the new TLX and how each are associated with their crafts.

I wish they had selected a different car to photograph. Those base wheels on the I4 version are horrendous.

Funny thing, I showed my 14yr old daughter the TLX in the Style mag and she says, "yuck, it looks like they have gone backwards. Hopefully, you are not getting that dad". I"m not sure how to feel about her thoughts on the car lol.

Car is actually growing on me... a nice kit and set of wheels will make it even better... theres an 8 minute video on youtube showing the car in black in different angles. Looks nice... still hate the "hidden" exhausts though.

^^ ..and I just hope they don't botch the rear kit like they did on the 4G! The side and front skirts were amazing but they dropped the ball on the rear piece....especially on the lighter colors.

The BEST KIT Acura ever made was on the 2009-2011 TSX!

Kids say the darn-est things, and they don't sugar coat their words. Honest and sometimes brutal.

Granted this is from the one 14 yr old, but....

I love that color! The specs say the width of the car is 82.3". Is that correct? The 3G is 72.2".

Weird that they wouldn't show the V6/electronic gear selector/bigger wheels for a magazine article.

Yeah - I didn't get in the video why it starts off with an dirt bike riding over the hood of the TLX.

Hmm... the 4G is 74".
And the RLX is 74.4" so that's probably a typo. Maybe it's 72.3", not 82.3".

What's astounding to me is they have a beautiful shot of the prototype in black inside the front cover. You can flip back and forth between what is going to be and what could have been.

I like the photos in Style. :-)

I think it's basically a good looking car from many angles. Not outrageous or overly sporty.

Just sort of...smart.

No, Hopefully a rear kit will include exhaust cutouts for a pair of quad tips or at minimum at least a set of openings.

I wish too. But doubtful since having exhaust opening will require more work since current exhausts are pointed downwards. Will have to cut the pipe and install tips.

I would have ZERO problem taking a cutting device to the current bumper and exhaust to add a rear kit that had exhaust cutouts and to install tips.

OIC - thank you! Just checked out the Acura Facebook page - seems like that is the Black Copper colour with a parchment interior?

This tail profile is quite characteristic of the 1G TSX and I like it!

Same here. However I dont think acura will make a kit that will require their customers to do custom work with the cutting of pipes and tip installation. Maybe ronjon? Do it man.
