Hello all. It's about time I replaced my OEM rotors (91k miles, had them resurfaced at 45k) and was wondering what folks here would suggest. I am more concerned with warping than performance (so no BBK for me ). I tried to do a search but it was not working for me but since I am a long time lurker, the consensus in the past IIRC is:

1) Rotora with Axxis pads
2) Brembo blanks with ? (I looked up Akebono ProACT Ceramic Pads on tirerack)

Rotora's complaints (again IIRC) were possible early warping and squeaking. I don't recall any complaints for the Brembo blanks but I could have missed them. Again, my biggest beef is with warpage (mine began to exhibit the characteristic vibration after ~27k miles like clockwork new and after resurfacing) and am hoping for something better than OEM in this regard.

Also, any suggestions on where I purchase them from? I am leaning towards tirerack as the prices seem decent and they have always promptly delivered for me in the past (for wheels anyway).

let the vendors suggest a pad for your driving style--
they know what works best on what rotors--and its not going to be akebono~

for normal street drivers either the brembo blanks or stoptech are fine
The other 2 mentioned are excellent upgrades for more spirited drivers

Gen 2 TL/CL remember we can use dual piston calipers for a 95 legend-- increased brake pressure to the pads and rotors and more pad stabilty--really makes the upgrade rotor/pads work at their designed best

and the calipers cost the same as TL calipers

FLUSH the brake fluid before doing any work on the brakes

I just installed Racing Brakes slotted rotors, Racing Brake ET300 pads, Racing brakes SS lines, Legend 2 piston calipers and used Amsoil DOT 4 fluid and I doubt my brakes ever warp again. The difference is outstanding and gets better and better the more they "wear in". They aren't that expensive either.

I put on the Brembo blanks and Satisfied ceramic pads from tirerack. All is fine except they rotors warped after about 50k miles. I do not drive hard or anything, and I was very easy on everything the first few thousand miles.

SodaLuvr made a recommendation (Post #6) and that is what I went with (Post#57).... If you like these pads and want to buy them, I have an extra set of pads and will sell them to you... Let me know.

I would avoid Brembo rotors...unless they are high end, & even then.
Put Brembo & Satisfied GS6 pads, and the rotors are slightly warped already after only 20k miles, not enough to cut/replace them yet, but enough to go more expensive next time. The satisfied GS6 pads however are excellent, saved me twice from an accident...& they do stop great....with lots of brake dust as a side effect.

Just depends on your driving style. I am using Power Slot with Akebono pads and they have been working great.
