ok, sometimes when i start the car, the ABS and TCS lights turn on and stay on. Other times, they dont. Should i be concerned and take it to a shop?

oyeah. mine used to do that too. the abs, tcs, check, and maint' lights sometimes stayed on when i start my engine, and other times it didnt. i think something was wrong with the lighting. my mechanic reset something in the fuse box and it never did that again. i dont really know what caused it, but he even diagnosted my car and there were no problems, so i guess its nothing to be concerned about? but it wouldnt hurt bringing it over just to check that out.

alright thanks. I know everything's working properly. it's just that it freaks out my dad when he drives my car.

if those lights come on and stay on there is something triggering it. they just dont turn them selves on for the fun of it.
