1st year with my 2010 Acura TL- SH- Crystal Black
HI Acurazine,
I am a new member and just getting to know the forum. I purchased by CPO 2010 Acura TL-SH a year ago and have been enjoying it since. Its a crystal black with black interior with the technology package and 18's wheels.
To date, my modifications are:
-20% tints all around except the front windshield(Strictly Auto Tint)
-Rear Roof Spoiler(ebay)
-HID low beams and Fogs- 8000K(xentec)
-OEM Front under body spoiler(Acura)
(I cant post any picture attachments at this time, unless I just dont know how)
I am on the market for wheels for the summer. I am debating between aftermarket 20x9 +35(rohana RC10-hyper silver) or keep it safe with 19 HPT wheels because of the pot holes in the Northeast.
Regarding the aftermarket wheels- I like the staggered look but have done lot of research on this forum and everyone has their own thoughts. I decided that if I do chose staggered, I need to keep the rolling diameters the same(real close). The other challenge is that I dont want to roll my rear fenders so its challenging.
The 19 HPT's would look nice with some lowering springs to keep that factory look.
Any thoughts on staggered sizes that would fit nicely?
Any thoughts on 20x9 +35(245/35/20) all around? will there be lots of space?

Welcome and congrats! I'm from LI too (nassau). I have the factory 18's and I'm still weary with the potholes around here, I'd be paranoid with 20's. Of course it comes down to how often and where you drive, for me the belt pkwy is a mine field and makes me not want to touch the wheels or suspension.

I guess since I am a new member I need at least 5 posts to be fully functional.
I purchased it with 29K miles and have about 49K on it right now. My commute to work each day is the NY thruway and round trip is about 51 miles.
My in-laws also live in Atlantic city, so I have been down there a few times.
I am happy with it so far, the only issue I have is the black stains on the exhaust that I hate! Does anyone know what works to remove it?

Just purchased a 2010 TL SH Tech and I'm still trying to figure out all the features. Exhausting. I traded in my RSX Type-S (the car before that was a Type-S also) and I'm hoping the TL is as satisfying as the RSX. After driving small cars (CRX Si, and the two RSXs) I decided it was time to grow up since I hit 70 last year. (Years not mph). So far the handling in the TL is impressive. I'm pretty sure it's better through curves that the RSX and that's cool for a car this size.
