I looked around and can only find a TSB on the M/T. I have a vibration issue on my 04 A/T only in 3rd gear and only doing speeds between approx 30 and 40. I originally thought it was the roads since they have recently redone them up here in North Chicago. But after a few days on different roads, I noticed it was only happening during those speeds. I want to take it into the dealer but I think that they will blame my drop and other engine mods for the vibration. It is only happening during 3rd gear and only those speeds. Any information would help, thank you.

hey i got same problem with this. i just took my to dealer and im getting a new transmission. gets urs check thnx god i got xtended warranty

Same exact issue with mine..does anybody know what exactly it is? Im not the take it to the dealer kind of guy..i fix things myself, i dont trust anybody especially not salesmen. You can find engines and trannys all day for these things on craigslist cheap so replacement is no big deal...i just wanna know what the hell its doing. Do these cars have a TCC like gm vehicles? I have worked on a lot of gm vehicles that its as easy as replacing the TCC solenoid. But anyways im new to the world of Hondas. theres gotta be an acura tech on this forum??? Whats the scoop?

I have a similar problem, too. When I'm traveling at about 25 MPH (actually, right when I hit 25 on the speedometer) the car shudders until about 30MPH. Very, very strange.

i just got my tl back from dealer they changes my tranny brand new its running alot better now. i dont hear anny more noise comming from engine bay, my car doesnt shake anny more at 20 to 30 mph. the total cause $4800. good thing i got xtended warranty. get your car check guys

i got my car checked out by Libertyville Acura here in IL, the mechanic they had look at it did not feel the vibes. I took him for a drive and i got it going. he then told me that he would not look at it because he wouldnt get paid for the analysis that he has to do and send to the head techs to see what they have to say. I am going to take my car to Pauly Acura to see what they say, i have to get my passenger seat heater looked at anyways. I have to do this really soon, because my extended warranty expires on Oct 7th.

There is a thread on the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches, it may address this. I had the 1st 2nd gear shimmy/vibe awhile back. Replaced the switches and fluid and new filter and was fixed.

Might be a cheaper option and ur fix. I know it wont fix all trans probs, but it helped alot of the other guys with similar probs....
