Bar soap. Don't use belt dressing, it melts the belt.

It happened to mine once before. I dont know if its the same noise as yours but mine was because of loose timing belts.

Normally those noises are most of the time associated with belts. If your belts arent loose, check the pulleys, rusty old pulleys will do that noise.

I'm interested in a quick fix as well, mine do it but only for a couple seconds on cold start up.

How do you use that soap bar?

If it's chirping, it's the pulley. Hit the bearing with some silicone lube and see if it goes away.

Would lithium based or multi-purpose lube be just as good if not better? I just emptied up my silicone lube doing all the rubbers and wires on the car.

White lithium should be fine, it's just that I've found that silicone lube is a bit better if you don't have everything taken apart.

Will do as soon as it stops raining outside, I take it that you only spray the pulley bearing without hitting the belt (at all if possible) right?

You can hit the belt, it shouldn't do anything.

Just started having the same issue but only does it when I start the car but seems to quiet down as I drive then stops. Hope its not the timing belts, sounds expensive
