Fastest Stock Block 2 liter in the Country

So for awhile now, a lot of people have been saying that my car is one of, if not the fastest stock block and chassis 2 liter RSX in our Country. So today we decided to stop messing around, and me and my buddy hit the track. It was a very nice day out today, 55 degrees out, was only able to make a couple passes because people kept breaking and driving down the track leaking oil and coolant with them.

I still think there is something left in the car, we can bring the 60ft down and ET better. I was extremely pleasantly surprised with the MPH. No other RSX with a stock block has gone 12s on a street legal tire aka NOT A SLICK. So I'm the first and man it feelsss good. A lot of hard work, time and paper benjamins went into this. Here's a couple vids my boy took, I'll have an edit later from the GOPRO I had in my car.

I think the Civic crowd would have to call you out on that. 12.6 was the fastest all motor stock block 2.0L.

The Civic crowd also hold the fastest all motor 2.4L at 11.4 @ 117 MPH. Done all by the same guy----> 8th Civic member Bboy_Burst out in California.

Done back in 2011 - stock block 2.0L
Done back in 2013 - 2.4L

Forgot to mention, he weighs about 115 lbs..

That's insane! How did you pick up 5 mph since doing the cams? I see obvious weight reduction, but that can't be all of it?

he said fastest RSX chassis with a stock block 2.0, he didn't say fastest stock-block 2.0 period. Civics need not apply.

Better conditions at the track, weight and gearing/traction. I really wasn't expecting 111 traps. But I'm happy as a pig in shit that I got them.

Holy crap dude, 111mph traps?! No wonder why you're out here slaying cars that should be faster than you! Nice runs man!

Woo! Congrats bro! I will continue to say it just because it's crazy lol that 111 makes no logical sense to me whatsoever, yet you did it on 2 consecutive passes. Picking up almost 5mph from ~100lbs of weight reduction and a slightly smaller tire is insane. That bumper had to help a ton. Good sh1t, man! 12.50s soon enough.

You could probably still do some damage by going ITB's.

Nahh, no ITB's on a stock motor. The next step would be a centerfeed manifold like an AFI, Gato, Praayonto, etc......but I'm fine with my RRC for now, I don't think the intake side of my setup is holding me back, if anything I believe there's a few horsepower lost in the exhaust, we'll see in a few months hopefully.

Do you have anymore info on the Civic Si that went 12.6? I'd like to take a stab at that record...I'm pretty sure I'm already there b/c he was probably on slicks and skinnies. I did this on drag radials and stock RSX 17's in the rear.

Hey do you have a link for the 12.6 Civic Si, the stock k20?? Wanna see his mod list and what the car weighed, I know as you said the driver is very light, but I think the RSX chassis can be made lighter. I'm pretty sure his run was also done on slicks, not sure if he had skinnies but those help a lot too as far as getting rid of weight.

I don't have a 5.0 FD or Slicks, but I'm pretty sure I can run 12.50-12.60s on my setup the way it sits right now. With slicks, I think the car will run low 12s, like 12.20-12.30 all day. Too bad I'm having clutch/tranny issues or I'd try to go soon. Looks like it might have to wait till Fall, but I'll have an ASP header and true 3" exhaust on the car then, so it will only make more power. Thanks again for posting.
