RPM's jump up and down

I have noticed when driving our '12 TL SH-AWD that it will sometimes jump up a few hundred RPMs then come right back down. It does it at varying speeds but it doesn't seem to be trying to find a gear for shifting, it just goes up and back down within 2-3 seconds.

Anyone else experience this?

I have a 2012 base and this happened to me for the first time this past weekend going up a hill at about 55mph under light throttle. I could feel the car doing something that felt like hesitation and when I looked at my RPM gauge my RPM was jumping back and forth from like 2k RPM to 2.5k RPM. The next visit to the dealer I'm asking them to check for software updates for the transmission and asking if they know what's up.

Yea it sounds like the torque converter lock up clutch is trying to go into full lock up when its supposed to go into partial lock up or what not - have them check for updates and change the fluid - if that doesn't help then they will have to take on-board snap shots of the vehicle speed, main shaft speed, counter shaft speed, shift command and send to to tech line and let them determine if you need a new torque converter or not
