Complete system reset

Am I missing something here?

I bought my car about a year ago and was trying to get a little more in tune with it. But apparently previous owner set a PIN into it and I can't figure out how to reset it.

I have had the battery out of car for a 24 hour period and it still saved everything.
I am trying to completely wipe out all info on my navigation unit and start from scratch.

Is this possible?

i dont own a navi but is there like a system reset option in the navi itself? can you just manually delete all the previous owners info?

and is the PIN you are referring to the NAVI CODE?

I think he means the pin code that you set up for security, so that not everyone could go in the address book.
I don't know about any resets.
Removing battary doesn't reset it, im positive.
Dealer swaped my nav unit and that was the time I lost everything.
^not the thing in the trunk, I thought unit was there
unit is the screen
they swaped my screen becuse buttons were not working
I lost everything

Try entering the service menu. I believe there is a reset there but I don't own my TL anymore so no way to check. Do a search for the correct buttons to hold down as I forgot.

Guess I am gonna have to call Acura. I have tried going through the options themselves. Even had the HDS try to wipe everything out when I cleared everything after purchase.

Yeah the PIN code for security not the navi code similiar to radio code.
