Engine/Supercharger?

Engine/Supercharger?
I've has my '03 TL for 2 years now and I want to start modifying it,
I was looking into swapping to a J35A8 into it getting a Comptech supercharger. So my questions are:
1. Is my engine bay large enough to support this?
2. What transmission do you all recommend?
3. If the answer to #1 is no what do you recommend I should do?

1. J35A8 is roughly the same size as J32A2, so engine bay is plenty big enough.
2. AV6 (Accord V6) or CL-S 6 Speed manual swap
I would suggest starting with smaller bolt ons when you do the engine swap (intake, headers, exhaust, pullies, spacers, etc.) and then adding the SC last. Just my

J35's bell housing is different and a proposed tranny from an earlier year/different model WILL not work.
seems like a lot of work as there are better options..
if you six speed swap it, your TL will automatically become faster, because of gear ratios and its a couple hundred pounds lighter.
then work on exhaust mods, 3 inches from the heads all the way back.
then do some intake work, port and polish the intake manifold!!
all of this will make your TL pretty quick.
then if you wanted more power, add the supercharger, but has its own issues/needs.

Oh good point justnspace! I forgot the J35A8 was the 07-08 Type S engine, which will not work! I think it's the J35 from the early MDXs that will work as a direct swap.
And as justnspace said, the SC has its own issues. It is already too small for the engines its used on, so if you're set on F/I, a turbo would be a pretty appealing solution! Minus the price tag.

Really? That's actually pretty good to hear. Just from reading around the 3G forum, those dudes are saying "Save up 10K, now turbo." If it's in the same ballpark as a SC, I have some things to think about

Alright, so what I'm understanding is I shouldn't go with the J35, snag a 6 speed standard transmission, 3 inch exhaust from headers down to the tip, and look for a turbo instead of a supercharger if I decide to do F/I?
How about the '03 Type S motor? Or does anyone have a better suggestion?
I'm fixed on a new motor because I know Honda/Acura has better ones out there, plus the previous owner was a dumbass and didn't take care of the stock engine.

^ J32A3 belongs to the 3G TL and it has the newer Headers in Heads so it would be a whole different swap with its own challenges...
Also J32A3 has 2HP less per SAE Corrected against the J32A2 so I don't know why would anyone bother with it...

I wouldn't recommend the expensive supercharger. It doesn't even give a lot of torque. I would spray a 100 shot or 75. That would give you so much more torque over the blower and these motors need torque.

A M90 SC on low boost would provide far more torque and hp than a 75 or 100 spray would, It would be easier on the motor, and you wouldnt run out.
