2008 TL - Fuse Names
Can anybody point me to a listing of the interior fuse box slots, which explains what the abbreviations in the manual mean, for a 2008 TL?
I'm trying to finally find a slot that works for my radar detector installation (problems described in another thread).
Thanks!

Does anybody know what these fuses control?:
DBW
LAF
IG1 OPDS
IG1 Wiper
IG1 ACG
TPMS
Meter
Are any of these suitable for use with an add-a-circuit to power a radar detector?
Thanks.

That's what I need! Thanks!
I just checked the online manual ... it has the same meaningless (to me) abbreviations as the hardcopy.
I spot checked the descriptions in yours ... they either match, or are compatible with the abbreviations. On a quick look I have some possibilities ...
3 Yours says not used, Daytime Running Light, which I presumably don't have in the US, although there's a fuse in the slot. I'll have to test to see if it's switched.
9 Front & Rear Accessory Power Sockets. I'll have to test to see if it's switched.
11 Windshield Wiper Motor.
12 TPMS. Yours says unused. I have no idea what TPMS stands for, so I'll leave that one alone unless I found out what it is.

It took a long time to get there, but I finally have the radar detector installed, working, switched & the fuse cover on!
My most recent discoveries:
Fuse #9 (Accessory Sockets): Not switched. But this is strange because later I tried one of the sockets & it was switched. But I'm not going to worry about this!
Fuse #3 (Daylight Running Lights): Not switched. It turns out this US car does actually have DRLs! And they are switched. Once again the mystery will remain.
Fuse #11 (Windshield Wiper Motor): It works!!! This may be the largest fuse in this fuse box (30a). But it works & I'm happy!. There was a tight fit with the add-a-circuit & the panel (which I refused to take off again!), but I managed it with the appropriate twisting & turning of the add-a-circuit. Of course just when I thought I had finished the job, I noticed I had detached the panel in the area closest to the door during all those contortions, but I managed to figure out how it attached & attached it.
This job certainly took longer than I had expected!
Thanks for all help.
