Michelin PSS anyone try them yet on a TL SH-AWD???

My TL is due for tires very soon...

I'll be buying a set in the new few weeks...

My car has the optional 19" wheels, lowered on H&R. I bought car CPO and it had a set of Falken all season tires... not the tire I would have bought.. but they were on the car when I bought it and they were brand new.. so now that a couple years have gone by, they are worn enough that they are ready to be repalced...

I live in So cal. no snow. my car never drives in snow. at most I drive in rain once in a while.
I was thinking of getting a set of Michelin PSS.

any of you run them on our cars? i have run PS2s on prior cars..and they were awesome... I imagine the PSS is very similar.

the treadwear rating is actually better at 300.. it's not as good a rating as an all season..but it's a summe tire so youknow it's not going to last very long... micheline claims 30k miles.. ha! I bet it lasts 15k max....

anywya.. chime in with any thoughts regarding this tirek, or suggestions for others that are similar and also good.

thanks.

i have the pss on my tl in the summer, they are a great performance summer tire very sticky however the treadwear is faster then other tires. Don't even try to drive in the snow with them cause its not gong to work but in your case you don't see any snow so you will be good. Buy a set you won't regret it.

I run the PSS on my 3G Type S during the Summer months and love them. I am on track to get 30K as well but that is dependent on your driving style. If you were reasonably happy with the Falkens, you will be thrilled with the PSS.

if you want a summer from Hankook, look at their RS-3 tire.

I was riding around on Dunlop direzza star spec z1 but they dont make that tire any more.

and supposedly, the Hankook RS3 is BETTER than the Direzza Z1 star specs.

also, my first venture into summer tires; I used Nitto NT05's! great fucking tire!!!!!!!

I think that if you could pick up either, I would go with what ever the better deal was between the PS2s and the Potenza. I don't have any experience with any Hankook tires.

Michelin Supersports (ranked 1 in Max Performance Summer) $142 (special)
Dunlop Direzza ZII Star Spec: $166 each on tirerack.

Discount tire will price match tirerack and their road hazard plans are worth it. Plus you get lifetime free balancing and rotation.

I had the PSS in the last two summers. Perform equally well in dry and wet. Low road noise as well.
