Resealing headlights?

Hey guys, it's a little bit over a week untill the Kansas meet and I will be touching up my car. Some of the things I want to accomplish is redoing my grill mod and reselling my headlights.

I will be baking them and removing all the old seal. My question is what exactly should I use to reseal them to stop the condesation I get every time I wash my car or when it rains.

Nissan Butyl Rubber Sealant. Available at your local Nissan dealer parts desk.

Search the name to get the part number. Best stuff EVAR!.

Also, add new desicant packs prior to resealing the headlights.

I use the Nissan Butyl, but I heard the NAPA seal is the EXACT same stuff, but cheaper AND you get a lot more.

are desicant packs necessary? OR will a proper seal do the job?

Necessary? Probably not. An added layer of protection. The OE light does have dessicant packs installed.

I did mine with the Butyl Rubber (from Nissan) only and have had no issues. It's been .... uhhh .... 2 or 3 years ? .... and I only had condensation once, about a week or so after we did them. Since then nothing - rain, car washes, etc. - no moisture.
