what conditions caused it to go flashing On?
hard on gas getting on freeway?

go to a parts store and ask for a free code reading, report any back here

how does the atf look and smell?

Without a code all we are doing is guessing. "IF" i had to guess with just the D5 flashing id say a trans temp sensor.

the recall fixed one problem, but has nothing to do with the other problem of clutch wearout--that often causes a D5
BUT
there are other simple things possible too--lets hope!!

as long as its not a salvage title car- its may still have warranty on the trans!
call acura and register as new owner, 1 800 382 2238x5, have cars VIN in hand
ask if any `open recalls`
and the cars first date in service-
trans warranty extension end date if `covered VIN` (those get the 7 year 9 months trans warranty, but at low miles you may still get help from acura if needed)

get the codes read for free at parts store and that info from acura,,we can guide you from there
Wouldnt be the first time someone had trans going out and sold the car

trans shops will code ck and test drive for trans issues if desperate for help

I actually forgot to put the 4 screws back in when I did my reverse glow gauges, so I can take pics and write it up. Does anyone really need it?

You think they could do a 6 speed swap too? I can't imagine they would warranty something that they may have never done before.

could and would are different things

Jobs they can bill every single minute of the techs time,,at a minimum,,they often take on
but full 6 speed swaps--be prepared for a LOT of hours~

Flipster23, do you mind giving me a link? I can't seem to find it. I tried it myself, but it was pretty deep in the cluster.

Assuming your talking about the mid-muffler, it doesn't have any performance improvement. It's a noticeable improvement in terms of sound. No drone or rasp, and you can only really notice at full throttle. Definitely worth $20.
