Exclamation Creaking Noise from Wood trim when driving

I recently bought an 04 TL with Navigation (Auto). I really enjoy driving the car, almost perfect in every aspect. Only issue we are seeing is that just below the center console there is wood trim that vibrates, squeaks and rattles when the car is in motion or just running. It appears to be from the area directly infront of the shift knob in the below pictre. I've found that if I open the small door on the wood trim the almost goes away. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there are any solutions ? (Please note the picture is not my car but used to show what area I am referring to.)
