Black/Cleared Headlights Angel Eyes Mod

Like the title says, just finished these mods, and took off resonator. Overall, i'm happy, but tired and just ecstatic to drive my car again!
I sold my beater car just the day before i took my car apart to do the mods...so it took a LONNNGGG time to finish. Anyways, here's pics lemme know what ya think. Just finished, so the car and headlights are dirty.

red illuminated rocker switch for the rings, the grey/blacks of the switch and interior actually match quite well in regular daylight.

again, just finished, and it's night time, so took whatever pics i could really. the only thing i dont like...is probably the inability to see the rings lit up during the day. I should have put reflective tape on the back of the rings.

the rings? umm just followed the diy that millions have posted. if you dont know what i'm talking about... there's a link for "eagle eyes" on freecarkits.com that's where i originally found them.

I suppose i could do a full diy if there's enough interest.

lol thanks, umm baked at 200 degrees for 15 mins. no preheat. just tossed it in there, then once i took out the 1st one, i just threw in the 2nd one for 10 minutes. really, make sure you have an extra set of hands to snip the silicone as it stretches out like cheese. helps it from cooling off while you're stretching and contracting too fast. anymore tips, just ask bro.

i dont mind the laws much...if i see them, i can just flip the switch off. I'm going to redo the rings though, and i'm going to try white. but i'm in favor of blue though.
I'm gonna end up drilling a hole in my headlight and have the leds sticking out so i can have a full circle and actually have the leds swappable/replaceable at well outside of the headlight housing.

daytime pic, but in my garage cuz i was detailing outta the sun lol.

well the low beams dont have the circular shape around it...if i did put in angel eyes on the low beams, it'd be way inside around where the tip of the bulb reflector in the middle is, kinda looks too far in to look good. but all in all, it cost me about 40 bucks to do the blackout and for the angel eyes. it coulda been cheaper if i didnt black it out, didnt break so many rings, and didn't buy radioshack's gay leds. i just got a 100 pack of blue 13 cd leds, and well, 13000 mcd vs 2600 mcd...you can only imagine how much brighter it is.

any place that sells window blinds will have curtain rods

was the rod you bought flat on all sides, or did it come to points? if you look at it from the end it looks like a star or an octogon

i just found a set at home depot. I had to buy 2 b/c it's only long enough for one angel eye. I had to buy the whole blind set just to get the rod. It's clear, solid, and has the flat edges. If it helps anyone, they're made by Bali.

hahaha, well its flat on ends, but it doesnt matter, you're gonna have to cut anyways. and i do not remember the circumference. All i did was take cardboard, taped it to the back of the high beam opening, threw the rods in the oven and just put the rods in there and kinda molded the rods to the shape of the high beam opening.

I believe it was a hexagon...

i replied to your question on the other thread mp3.

to be brief - through the black grommet that seals the high beam bulb.

Lol, this is late, but better late than never...sorry, I cancelled my comcast internet, and they deleted the photos i had uploaded on my ftp. And unfortunately, I don't have the pics anymore. Nor do I have the headlights on my car anymore as I was going to the air force and was forced to sell...turns out I didn't have to sell it.

Actually, I just went back to school and doing the rotc thing to get commissioned as a 2nd Lt.

But seriously, I'm sure there are plenty of DIY's out there for angel eyes. Well, there are diy's on making the angel eyes itself, then there's diy's on taking your headlights apart....put the two diys together, and you got yourself angel eyes!
