B1 service.....
ok..i was just wondering, how soon did your guys car need a B1 service???
my service indicator came on early last week and said I was in need of a B1 service...
I have had all the A services done..my car just went over to 25,000km and it is an 06...i have just now had the car for 1 yr...
so..i took it into the dealership..to have it's service done...only to return to pick up my car with a $700 bill!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yikes!!!!!!
I almost shit myself...thinking this is vertually a brand new car and still has less then 25k km on it...how could it possibly need $700 in service?????????
so now im wondering...is the B service a yearly check-up...or is this one of a kind maintainance that my car needed????

Of course, none of this does you any good (OP). Call around first in the future. And unless you want your car CPO'ed in the future for resale purposes, check out some alternatives. Could do the work just as good for a lot less.

GO DAWGS!! SICK'EM!!
alright, I got my B1 done at 35K
Here is what I had dealer done for me.
1. Oil Change
2. Change air filter
3. Drain transmission fluid and refill
Above items cost me $160 plus tax
DIY myself
1. Cabin filter (this saved me $140 that dealer try to charge me)
(I should of DIY my own air filter and save me $30)
Good luck.

WOW! They have got to be doing more then just the oil change, rotate and inspections. B1 doesn't call for a transmission service and vehicles with maint minder system don't have a 30k service. Trans service isn't called for till you trigger a 3, in cabins and external filters trigger on a 2 (usually around the 25-30k mile mark) unless the external filter is dirty upon regular inspection.
Seems like they are billing for more then just Acura reccomendations. Would be curious to know what else is included or what amount of hours they are billing you for the b1.

B1 is considered a minor service (calls for the exact same inpsections and service as a conventional 7500 interval service). So while it may seem a little early for a B i wouldn't worry about it. Usually, this would indicate to me that your driving style is either fairly agressive or a lot of in town stop and go.
I would go ahead and have the b1 done but pricing should really be no more then $150.00 in my opinion.

That's the only TL-S that might have made me buy one if I saw it before I bought my 06 TL in November! Keep up the good work and be safe overseas man! (I mean on the autobahn...I know you rollin' hard!)

Why 1 tire? That's not a normal practice because if 1 tire is bad, you should replace both on that axel otherwise you will get uneven wear.
