FEELER: ATLP Catback Exhaust for 2ND GEN!

Hey guys, i've talked with aznbo187 about a ATLP exhaust for us.

Since it seems like the 3rd Gen ATLP exhaust sounds great and just finished up on the RDX exhaust. I say we get a little piece of this action

all I and aznbo187 would need is 15 people who are interested. Then, we would start from there.

Let's start the list!

I really like the look of oval canisters on the 2nd gen, with some nice sexy tips. I think if we go with a set of 3.5" tips mated on a nice custom built muffler, and a 2.5" diameter tubing, it would be a solid setup. A VIP-tuner look.

Discuss.

I believe the Comptechs have 3.5" tips, and IMO it looks a *little* small. Maybe some 3.75" tips would be better. And I feel that one of the best tip styles is a slanted circle, like CleanCL's Borla tips. I'll try to find some pics.

i personally like 3.75" tips better. and i too love the slanted circle.

this would be great for some little extra power compared to the Apexi WSII catback exhaust. Apexi has 60mm (2.36") piping with (correct me if i'm wrong) 2 resonators on the mid-pipe ending with 100mm (3.9") tips

i was thinkin that this ATLP would go 2.5" all the way with 3.5" or even 3.75" tips.
looking at the 3rd Gen, looks like the gained a lil more than just 1-2 whp.

who knows what the results would be. would be able to get them faster if me and mike (aznbo187) can get 15 people

Cool I had a slanted tip in mind as well. Nothing too drastic, but enough to notice. I'll snap a few pictures of the tip I when I get to the manufacturer in a week.

can't get a final price until a prototype is made. this is just getting interests first.

if 15 or more people are INTERESTED, then we go ahead and make a prototype and figure out the final costs and sell to those who really want one.

nothing for the 2nd Gen. people asked if he'll make one for the 2nd Gen after the 3rd Gen got theirs.

lol, we're all basing this of pure imagination, duh! J/k. There are no pictures out, but here is the system we made for the 3G TL/TL-S. Of course it won't be quads. But those are the tips I had in mind.

i have comptech axlebacks right now.. i wish it had bigger tips. so a 3.75 or even 4 like tsudo's would appeal to me more. really want to see how this would turn out, and would love to see the tips like the 3rd gen ATLP exhaust but bigger.. even want to see what a quad setup looks like on a 2nd gen tl with ATLP exhaust.. just to see how it is, if it looked nice, i wouldn't mind even a quad setup.

i was gonna think about doing a quad setup with the OEM rear lip since the wings west only has space for one. but i loved the wings west look more, so single on each side.

a quad look would be awesome to have but then that would be another list for people who are interested. maybe a photoshop of an idea of a quad setup might give more ideas but for now. one thing at a time.

yeah i have the oem rear lip. i too wanted the wings west rear lip..actually, i was going to buy it from the same guy you got it from since hes in new york, was just gonna go pick it up with the door sills.. but i was debating too long and you got to it first lol.. still debating on the sills.. yeah a photoshop would do some justice. just really want to see what it looks like, if it looked nice enough i would keep the oem rear and get the quad setup.

I've never seen a 2G with quad exhaust that I liked. They just don't look good on our cars IMO.
