2009 Acura TL MESH GRILL

i know alot of people hate the new 09 grill but they have come out with some alternative solutions such as the E&G classics mesh grill which is just sex on wheels..lol and ron jon but i dont think ron jon is goin to make this kit for the new 09 TL..

i think the mesh grill looks great!

i would like to see it on a darker tl though

yea that grill is available the mesh one its on the E&G classics website for about 320$.. if you want i can give u the link..

Yea i think the first grill is absolutely horrendous on an Acura, reminds me of a Cadillac. though the Ton Jon ones are extremely sexy and sporty.

You don't think Rob Jon will release them?

yea they said ron jon wont make it if theres not enough ppl in it to buy them if u can get like 10 ppl or more with the new 09 ACura TL hell make the product but for one person he wont make it..which is gay..cuz that ron jon kit is sexy..lol ttyl hun be safe

Good news guys! RonJon responded to my e-mail for production of the grill for the TL 2009. They said production will start April!

i am not usually a fan of the aftermarket body stuff....but both thoes grills are better then the factory one....

Ron Jon mentioned in the e-mail that they would start production on the TL grill after they finish the Accord 09 body kit. So your in luck. They're working on it now!

The Ron Jon front grill is a bit of improvement, but the front kit is sexy as hell, might even get me to buy an 2009 after the S comes out of course

. Makes you wonder why Acura can't come up with kits like these

I like the 2nd one as well, without the double bar across, maybe a single bar similar to the 3G grille. Woud live to see an updated 3G Grille on a 4G, would look sweet!!

I personally like the smaller MDX grill on the TL.....the photo of it that was here a while ago looked pretty good.

That mesh looks meh. RJ is decent, I wouldn't want it though..
For me, it's not he grille center... I don't like the grille surround (the brushed aluminum looking pieces) Too large..

We called E&G and they said about 2 months before this grill will be available for purchase.

In my opinion, it looks like it belongs on an Escalade. I can't tell if that whole grill is photoshopped on the car or if it's an actual picture, but the grill itself looks way too flat and 2 dimensional. Although the OE grill is big, it doesn't look like it was "stamped" sheet metal.

IMO, that mesh grille belongs on a chevy silverado or something. looks like a strut grille for an SUV. Totally domesticates the TL.

We'll def be coming out with our grille once our Accord kit is done. Possibly the TL kit too, a front lip and pair of side skirt spatts.

I'm liking the second grill more and more and if I get the car I'm in for that grill, but pull out the RJ logo, no offense, it takes away from the balanced look.

I e-mailed RJ today and they are still planning April/May availability, but don't have a price yet. Also the RJ logo will be removable.

im not to sure how much RJ is asking i do know that its in production as keith said for april/may release he also told me that he is probably goin to make the front lip kit as well as the side skirts for the new 09 TL..congrats keith and DR evil on your new 09 TL's there gorgeous cars..my sister is trading her WDP 05 TL in for the new 09 AWD TL..good luck be safe guys

Maybe so, but the OEM grille looks like you drove it through a huge chrome smiley face.

I'm liking the mesh one pretty well, at least on the light-colored car. Might be a little too "bright" on a darker color.

Hey everybody,

I ordered the E&G mesh grill from eBay and had it installed this morning (Feb. 18th, 2009). I snapped a couple of quick pics with my iPhone just so you can see how it looks installed rather than on E&G's advertisement photo that has been circulating.

Honestly.. for me.. it reminds of an escalade grille:

Too bling blingy SUV/Truck looking.. If it was in a satin silver finish or brushed aluminum look it may be ok [like the factory look], but as is.. It's just a giant chrome mirror in your face.. Doesn't match the existing metallic on the car =/

try to shoot some pics a little farther away so we can see it in the context of the whole car. it doesn't look bad, a little to blingy for my tastes, but you really need to see the whole car.
