....that would be an experience to remember. Been reading nearly all your threads. You really have alot to say. Thought at one point you like talking to hear yourself, but I was wrong. You love sharing experience rather than knowledge to other members, that's what makes you an asset to the fourm.

sorry, i just joined this thread, so i dont know much of went on earlier, i appologize..but...

why not just get a blower..theres an instant 300whp right there..well damn close to it at least..

so im gonna say..if your putting on a turbo, and u can't get 300whp..you've got issues..and there for, should never post here again.

Read the thread. Turbo is already in pass's car at 9 psi doing 437whp. There checking for reliability right now especially on stock bottom
end. S/c with mods can't get over 315whp without upping boost, changing pistons or running meth/water or something that risk for a lot of money! Like Opel and nva

Opel is a very valuable poster. We disagree on like 5% of these topics but I think we both learn from each other. He's one of those hands on guys, not afraid to get out there and make things happen. That's why I think his TL will be in the 12s soon and I have no doubt 11s one day.

I enjoy getting proven wrong, it's no fun being unchallenged all the time so I need to step up my game. I've changed my way of thinking about the methanol for the TLs. I've always gone for max power with pure meth which it will produce max power. But after reading Opel's posts and the piston design on these cars, I realize it's better to have a little water in there to cool combustion and piston temps.

Cool

I shouldve installed the oil squirters from the TL-S when I had the motor in pieces popping in the forged pistons....helps keeping the pistons cool, squirting oil underneath them...

I rushed into getting up and running and missed out on that.

I learn the best from failure...it tells you not to do that again and it gets seared into your head. Gettin proven wrong is the best love that stuff.

.....well said, how many of us would have tried to do what PASS437 is doing if it wasn't failure we were afraid of? And at some point of his project he might fail. But Rodney will learn from it and re-apply his new found knowledge and suceed ....Its all about PROGRESS

id rather hold a playstation controller, than drive paddle shifters...
nothing will ever replace an H pattern shifter and a foot operated clutch! it is what stands behind true driving

Depends on what you want. An auto will be quicker behind a turbo motor in the 1/4 mile in nearly every situation. For driving fun, manual all the way, but an auto with a high stall can be fun too.

a small video of Rodneys car at the So Flo Mega- Meet.

She had us shitting bricks burning out and doing 1st and 2nd gear pull in the middle of the parking lot with peoples cars literally 6 feet away... crazy.

Thanks for coming Rodney. I had to make sure you got a custom Pass427 shirt.
Nuff respect
