Poor Man's Drive By Wire Delete

Bet you guys thought stillhere153 was gone.... guess again

So I currently have an econobox... (nissan versa)

Anyway... as I am getting 25mpg in the city (as oppose to 13mpg in my ol' tl-s)... guess what, the Versa is Drive By Wire as well...

So I bring forth what the civic and fit (also driver by wire) owners have been enjoying for quite a bit

Shadow E-Drive

Found em on egay for $129.99

search term: "Electronic Throttle Controller"

ps. the damn thing is damn near universal it plugs to the gas pedal and the obd port

back in the days (as if it were years ago)... the gas pedal was literally a lever... and it was attached to the throttle body... in recent years... all the newer vehicles obviously still have a gas pedal, but the gas pedal is attached to a sensor, the sensor which transmitts a signal to the computer saying "hey the driver hit the gas"...

this controller modifies that signal... thus making the step of the gas more cable like

In essence making the throttle more responsive, right? So it's like a permanent ECU reset for us 5AT guys?

It's never happend before and worst case you turn it off

BUT there is a part of the install that requires you to tap into a wire so the unit knows you're in reverse so you don't backup wide open throttle at sp7

For everyone who still doesn't understand this I will make it much more clear.

Attatching this unit to your car basically adds an Si drive to it, much like the Legacy 2.5GT Limited and 08+ STi. Read up on that, this is the exact same thing. Now question is, where the hell do I get it with a TL harness....

You guys make this harder than it is... There is no "tl specific"

Look up the spring booster the same one fits multiple applications

Go on ebay and search for throttle controller for the honda fit

I just ordered the D1 Spec Throttle Controller for the Nissan Tiida (forein domestic market name of the Nissan Versa also called Latio)

Pretty interested in this. So does it increase timing or just dump more gas at different throttle settings? How do you switch between modes?

Al if you check the link there is one for 07-08 and 09+ Fit. Does it matter which one to get?

Don't know if I am able to post up this info. If I need to get a vendor status, please hit me up.

We are actually the company making these throttle controller and have sold hundreds to different major car forums including Mazda6, Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, Subaru Legacy.

We are based in Houston TX and promote our brand under ETC.

Here is a visual that would better explain what adjustable throttle controller does.

Sincerely,
TWP
