Part No. 13 in the diagram is the expansion valve.
Note, the expansion valve could be faulty or debris could be intermittently blocking the valve. If it's debris, the system may need to be flushed to clear the debris, else a replacement expansion valve may not fix the problem. In the case of debris, the evaporator needs to be replaced as it's difficult to effectively flush, and same for the condensor. This sounds harsh, but less harsh than going through an extensive repair and winding up w/ same problem. Here in states, used parts are an effective method of reducing repair costs dramatically compared to purchase of OEM parts. I've had excellent results w/ used AC parts. good luck

I have found 3 different parts that are listed to work, 2 of the expansion valves have a thermostat and a secondary connector and one just has a thermostat. here is a link
http://cpwstore.carpartswholesale.co...versal:0)&sv=0 I am not sure of the difference. I am wondering if the secondary connector connects to the console thermostat if there is an internal one. any ideas guys |

From diagram, your expansion valve has both a pressure bias tube and a thermal sensor tube. Only connections are to the evaporator. Sensor bulb is pushed into fins of evaporator to sense evap temp.
good luck
