04 AM w/ Volk GTF 19x9.5 +17 & 19x10.5 +24

Picked up a set of wheels from a friend who took them off his 04 G35 Coupe. I had planned on putting them on my girlfriends Genesis Coupe however I think I like them on the TL better. I'm ordering front and rear camber kits and thinking about changing the tires from 255.35.19 / 275.30.19 to 225.40.19 / 255.35.19 and subtract about a degree of camber all the way around and roll the fender lips.
What do you guys think?

I'm not sure if I like the gold. I was thinking of either painting them silver or just having them polished..

those things would look sick if they were colormatched. i think dark grey is the best color for colormatched wheels.

I don't know if I like those. Maybe it's the cold but something is throwing it off. If the gold part was AM, or lighter silver, it would look better IMO

Was thinking the same thing. I rolled the AM A spec wheels for 4 years because I couldnt afford any wheels I liked. I think I'm going to have the centers painted silver or AM.

The lighting was a bit off, after I took the pictures I looked back on them and wondered why they looked so different then what it looked like in person.
I agree on painting the centers. I just couldn't pass on this steal, $900 w/tires. all straight, minor curb rash on one. I feel like I committed a crime

No big ones planned right now, not sure if we are doing an AllCali/Acurafest this year nobody has started planning it yet. How is your supercharger? I remember it was giving you problems and you had fluids spraying all over your engine bay.

ahah when i came back to this thread i thought "hmm, did he edit the thread title?" lol. those are some awesome specs for the tl. you should go 215/35 front and and 235/35 rear and add some camber from there. if i had the rims, id put a 225/35 in the rear, but thats cus im stupid.

Very nice wheels.

I would recommend putting 225/35/19 instead of a 40. I had 19" Work Varianza T1S's with G/Z specs, 19x9.5 +24 19x10.5 +22 and I ran a 225/35/19 up front with no problem. It'll give you better clearance and you can drop the front a little more.

Haha yeah, it was a crack in my radiator tank. Sprayed coolant over my entire engine compartment just in time to "pop the hood" at the meet. fml.

The sc is off right now, It's on my dining room table sitting next to me. I had a voltage regulator issue, My interior looked like a rave party every time I opened a door. The dealer wouldn't touch my car while the charger is on it. Not that I want them touching it anyway so I always remove it before I take it in for engine related warranty repairs.

I have a 225/40 and 225/35 on hand. I'm going to mount one of each tomorrow at work and bring them home for the test fit.

Haha BLACKURA! Rubbing would be an understatement! I can't even move the car. My fenders are physically sitting on the top of the tires. My suspension wasn't even fully loaded before the tires hit.

I highly recommend dialing in camber in the rear cause if not, a 19x10.5 +22 will sit like this with a 235/35-19 tire.

And if I were to go back and do it again, I would only do it if i had a rear camber kit.

I think there was too much poke for my own good.

I was going to sell it but after stumbling across these wheels I've changed my mind. Now my bank account is heading the other way yet again.

Let me know when and where, I'll be there to rep the so-cal AM's

Nitto 235/35/19 (front)

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hankook 225/40/19 (front)

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michelin 255/35/19 (rear)

------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm a fan of the 225/40's up front and the 255/35's out back. I don't like how much room I have with the 235's up front.
I feel like they leave a lot of fender well space at the front and rear and they don't look flush. The 225/40's fill in much better and look more flush while they seem to leave plenty of clearance.
I think cambering the front maybe -.5 and the rear -1.5 should do the trick. Any suggestions?

That amount of camber is not gonna do anything. You are gonna need a hell of a lot more camber if you dont want to rub. I have 255/35s on the rear (19x10 +35) with -4.5 camber and it STILL rubs. I am pretty low though. You are gonna need a lot of camber front and rear to not rub unless you go 4x4 status. With your offsets I would get 225/35s for the front and put the 235/35s on the rear.

Sick. Can't wait till the camber is dialed in. A suggestion tho. Gold doesn't and never will match silver/gunmetal. So I suggest either silver for clean-ness, or gunmetal for clean-ness and sporty, or black for hard-ness. Can't go wrong with either. But can go wrong with gold lol.

I agree. More camber will be needed to not rub. I come from experience and with a 235/35/19 on a 19x10.5 still rubbed
