i changed my DS2 bulb WITHOUT removing bumper or side fender.
i got my 6k this morning and started to change them only to find out that by removing the passanger side top cover you can squeeze your hand and work your way to remove the black headlight back cover and the take out the bulb for an easy replacement. The drive side was a LITTLE more difficult cause i had to remove the battery (take it of the car) but gave me more space than the passanger side to replace the bulb (after the battery was out it was easier than the passanger) it only took me 30 minutes to do it all. The hard part of all and where i spend more time was squezing the new bulb with the 2 metal clips (u have to put a lot of pressure to get it in place)
i'm 6"1 200lbs and have big hands, i assume with small hand you can do it in no time. This was my first time trying and i was able to do it. Is true that you cannot look closely on what u are doing but once you get the feel is a piece of cake. One thing i did was not putting the Torx 10 screw back so the next time i have to replace it, it would be much easier.
now i need to replace my 07-08 fog light bulbs, my car is 04 but previews owner swap the entire front to a type s including oem foglights. since the foglights are so close to the bottom can i replace them from there, removing the bottom plastic covers? i assume it use H8 bubs.

Thanks for the post, eduardmc. Also, I have no idea why this is underlinded, but I can't get it to go away. Anyways, I have a question about this since I need to change my passanger side bulb. You did this through the engine compartment, correct? Passenger side top cover refers to the engine cover that abuts the right fender? Thanks again.
