Aggressive/Low Offset/Staggered and Slammed/Bagged Please help fitament

Ive been researching like crazy and I understand offset and width's etc. Since the "will they fit" thread is stupid long and the newer sticky has 2 weak pages of info, Im still looking for answers.

Being on Teins (Might throw bags back on), how aggressive can you go with wheel fitament with a 19" wheel (Possible staggered or not) and not be worse than about -2 to -3 camber in the back? No finger gap tucking some tire right now but might go bagged. I dont mind getting fenders rolled and cutting bumper but DO NOT want to get into pulling fenders.

Pics and specs would be really appreciated. 02type-s I see has 19x8 with +40 and it looks pretty good. Dont believe he pulled fenders either.

Samson's TL with the 10's out back is more than im looking to go. MAYBE 9.5 out back and 8.5's in front if I go staggered and also dont want something that would hit Air Struts if I go that route.

if you go 10" high offset a must.... 45-48 (rolling)

9.5 is 6mm less on each side(estimate...really 6.something) .. not much difference...offset is the real key player tho

if the 10" offset is 45 the 9.5 offset would have to be 39 to be the exact same look from the outside.... every inch drop is 12.3 mm i believe.. so if im correct..for the stock 7" to be flush..it shouldve been 7"+6.. but thats with a roll

youd have problems rubbing the strut if you go x10 with a high offset like 45... You'd need at the most a 35 to be safe.

Yea 10 is more aggressive than I'm thinking. More like a 8-8.5 front, 9-9.5 rear (if staggered) or just 8.5 all around if no stagger.

Im going to go look for pics of your car now jeterror. It is difficult to understand which is why there are constant "will this fit" threads but I appreciate you trying to explain it. Im understanding your first post and that is definitely helpful information.

Ill try and expand on it.... Probably going to confuse the hell out of people even more but I follow ya.

What Jterror is saying is on a 10" wheel, offset should be around 45-48(millimeters) where the centerline on a 10" wheel is half the width or 5 inches. Offset is the mounting surface of the wheel measured from the centerline or half the width of the wheel.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...jsp?techid=101

Since that is what sits flush, you want to keep that distance between the mounting surface and the outer lip to stay proportional regardless of how wide the wheel is. You want to achieve the same "poke".

So going to a 9.5" wheel (half inch skinnier wheel width which is 12.7 millimeters skinnier) you must subtract 1/4" or .25 inch or 6.35 millimeters from "each side" of the centerline of the wheel. And since the wheel is a 1/4" difference from centerline to outer edge of wheel, you need to adjust your offset 1/4" or 6.35 millimeters so 45-6.35 puts you at 38.65 mililmeters (basically 39 like Jterror said)

That may confuse people even worse so I apologize if it does. Again his measurements are with rolled fenders and this was strictly talking about a REAR WHEEL. Having fenders rolled he definitely has trimmed his rear bumper tab and then some as well.

Jterror what are you running up front and what camber are you running front and rear?

Anyone else have agressive setups they are willing to share for us rookies

good thing u understood where i was headed...really confusing topic...

my camber is set to 0 for my 05 tl stock 17s .. it jus so happens to LOOK like zero camber too with the 10s.. i wouldnt kno for sure havent gotten an alignment since 09 fall... i have the ingalls kits front n rear..but i never bothered with it after the shop set it...

my front is 18x8.5+35 .. fits nice never rubs with the 225 .. i could go bigger tho.. i hav lowpro tires that show a lil gap when crotched in front of it... the outter rim...again like the rear.. sticks out about 1-2 mm... with the tiny stretch its great..since the front fend er comes rolled...i didnt have to touch it...

the bumper in the rear has ALOT of tab cut off...n when i roll thru bumps still touches somtimes..and when i hav ppl in the back seats touches alot... be aware of this... i touch alot on body frame too...behind the bumper... i would like to take a pic of this cuz its crazy how my tires are not gettin hurt at all by this...

i hav a 2g.. i hav 05 tl wheels for the winter........

i think you should be good with that step up.. for the rear 245 will fit... its gonna be a slight stretch nothing crazy so youll be fine...

so you can have a better idea...this my stance on the rear... yours would be about 4mm more inward since my wheels a 10"+42.. i dont think youll need camber as long as u roll it ... but i could be wrong... worry about where the corner ther the bumper meet the quarter panel... pain in the ass... it wont roll since its cornered..so work on it with a dremel if it rubs there...it tore a bit of the my outer wall rubber until i hammered it flat..

notice i pulled.. i dont think youll hav too since your tires will be 245 and these are 265...

You could run a 225/35 all around with no problems depending on where your camber is at. (-1.5-2)

Yea ?? You think I coulda got away with 225 up front ?? I already mounted up the tires so it's good to know for future reference, figured I'd get away with a little less camber up front and have more room to play if I wanted to add Spacers with the 215

Im just looking for what would fit flush with minimal camber in a 19" wheel and not rub with passengers with fender rolling and tab cutting... and I wouldnt mind dealing with the little grinding and whatnot that aznccnsh is dealing with currently.

Since I wont be buying new wheels, trying to just get a feel for what would work or be close to what Im looking for as I look around in the Black Market for something.

WHOA WHOA WHOA.. I dont have 19x8!! wouldnt be caught dead with 19x8!!

Im running 19x9.5 +17 front, 19x9.5 +5 in the rear!!!!

I have pulled my fenders slightly, rolled for sure and relocated the bumber tab. DO NOT RUN HIGH OFFSETS ON A 10" WHEEL. YOU WILL RUB THE STRUT!!

You can for sure run 10's w/ low offset in the rear, jus find someone who rolls fenders well and have then roll it, you may need to grind a small amount at the rear of the arch. thats what i did. and theres nothing wrong with a pull, dont be scared!!

I know you are on a more aggressive setup Maybe I meant 02types (With no hyphen)... The SSM with gunmetal wheels if I remember right (bad with remembering everyones exact spelling of there user names )

and yes I am scared of pulling the fenders!

Im on stock type S wheels right now and havent rolled fenders yet but will once I get some wheels. Thanks for the input 02actclean!

dont really remember since it was some time ago.. my new setup is square so i cant really compare.. but i wasnt really looking for performance with the staggered set since i was so low, and NY roads didnt really help.. im sure there are others who will comment that it affects performance negatively.. but never mattered to me cause i was never going above 50-55, or taking turns like a racetrack
