dude looks good.
I also played with it by using the 3M 1080 Vinyls wraps.
You can email them and they will send you a small packet of a few sample sizes.
I tried one on my phone and it was awesome

nice work- did you get any diy pic along the way or suggest letting a pro do it?

copy from another vinyl thread I posted to
vinyl wrap is awesome !
go to a professional shop and let them do it
the cost is much less than you imagine, and if they make a mistake
they cut another small repair piece and blend it in

if you make a mistake= you buy an entire new sheet
for the small parts shown in above post- remove from car and take to shop

for car hood, take entire vehicle

I have seen many race cars and street cars, the race clubs SUV was wrapped from one end to the other in advertising = the vinyl looks great, cleans easily, and wont leave a damaged surface behind if you decide to remove it in a year or 3

look in phone book and internet for vinyl printing/overlays in your town
they are everywhere
places that make banners and stuff,,probably a good start or resource

if they do in house printing on vinyl- you can customize it- have your initials or car club name embedded into the CF weave,,how slick would that look!

I wrapped it myself, i didn't take pics but i have to redo some of it, the cup holder part has some bubbles, used one sheet to do the whole piece instead of removing the doors and wrapping them, so i have a few bubbles there and lifting on the doors, the rest came out pretty good.

The shifter area is a headache it has a bunch of angles that are hard to get with one piece i might end up redoing that part but for now it looks fine i got the pattern to line up about 95%

For the install i removed the whole center console, i used a hair dryer to get the wrap to curve where it needed to be, but it can be a Bitch if you heat it too much the glue dissolves, and the wrap will rip when you pulled over the area.

I got 1ft by 5ft "3d" wrap for $10, Ebay can be useful, everyone that has seen it said it came out really good and it looks good, they only see the defects if i point them out, on a 1-10 i say its a 7.5 and it was my first time doing vinyl wrapping

Anyone know the quality difference between 3M DiNoc vs rvinyl vs 3m1080 (not sure if the two 3m's are the same)

there just different companies as far as the how good they are i used a cheaper one as it was to test it out and it sticks well and the pattern is good, thats going to be the differences, get close ups of the pattern before you decide and prep is usually the biggest factor when it comes to how well it sticks.

i lightly sanded the parts with a 1000 grit and wiped them down with 90% alcohol before i started, also make sure your hands are clean i had a napkin with alcohol and touched it about every time i was going to pull the wrap to keep the oils in my hands from messing up the glue

ive been doing my research on the vinyl wrap for carbon fiber, but whats more of the carbon fiber look? The scotchprint one or the glossy look one? im not really wanting it to shine so im leaning toward more the scotchprint but ive no idea what the scotchprint look looks like

i think the glossy one look crapy, some people say if you get the matte finish and throw some clear coat on it, it looks more real, i do have some left over and i do happen to have clear i'll give it a try and post close up pictures of both

Side by side

Also i noticed the clear doesn't stick well to comes off in flakes, if you want to clear it would be better to buy a gloss one
