HonData Flash Pro for '07-'08 Base TL and '07-'08 TLS

Yes Guys this is TRUE! I've been working closely with Doug and the guys from Hondata and they HAVE come out with the Flash Pro For the 07-08 3.2 TL and the 07-08 3.5 TLS. They used my vehicle to come up with a Flash for the 3.2S/C application. I will post up Graphs and pics when I get home tonight. Here is the link for your viewing pleasure!

It will available for purchase in early January of 2013

Blue line is from FIC dont know why it dosent have the before HP figures but at the the time my car was mostly stock except for ATLP J-Pipe. Not bad for Auto and my belt was slipping only getting 3maybe 4lbs of boost and 3-2lbs from 5000 rpm to redline Which in a way was good cause the stock injectors were already at 90% duty cycle.
Before (dotted blue):
- CT supercharger
- AEM FIC
- Stock injectors

After (solid Orange)
- Hondata TL FlashPro + tuning
- 2 PSI less peak boost (slipping belt)

I love how my serial number says 0000000 Very first one!

Not to be cynical, but I am anxiously waiting for people to start calling BS (don't confuse this as me calling it). I don't even know what to think at this point considering so many people were 100% sure this would never happen...then to have it happen for under $700 is just like whaaaa?!

Unless this doesn't do what I think it does...This is for 100% tunability while keeping all factory settings enabled, right? (edit: re-read the website description, pretty much what I was expecting)

EDIT 2: Also, makes me want to move away from N/A

I really hope this becomes avaliable for 03-07 v6 accords and 04-06 TL 6 speeds as well. Nevertheless, this is amazing news!

I don't believe the 04/06 ECU's are easily flashed but the 07/08's are.

If I weren't already satisfied with the MS3, I would be looking into the chance of retrofitting a new ECU into an older model.

It should be close to the gains seen by the J and R ecu. Probably around 15-20 whp and more with mods. I dont think any of these j series have VTEC on exhaust side.

You are correct all the factory setting are still in play! The difference is nite and day now my car drives like it came from the factory S/C'd. Right now the crazy thing is my VTEC kicks in at 3900 but from 3000-5000rpm once I hit boost VTEC will engage as long as im over 1lbs of boost. You will be able to tune everything Timing advance/retard fuel trims, open and closed loop operation, and soon to be you be able to control timimng in each cylinder indipendently which is awesome. You can datalog up to 1.5 hours of data to see exactly how your car is behaving and see if you are knocking in any of the cyclinders.

Sub'd so I can research this a little more. If anybody closeby to me (NY/ Hudson Valley) can help me out with this I am 99% sure that I will buy this as a Christmas gift...

Is this a one time offer (limited release) or will this be available for a while?

Hehehehehe. I knew about this

Great news. I wasn't sure what years it would be for, but this is great. Now, how to get this to work for the 03-07 Accords and 04-06 TL is the question. I'm in 100% as long as I can get it to work for my car. Thank you Hondata! It's about time!

^ Lulz. I'm sure there will be a way to make this work for the 04-06 TL. If so, I will be purchasing an 04-06 ECU pronto.

Look at the gains the OP saw. The peak gains were nearly identical but the low-midrange gains are incredible. He saw ~50wtq around 3K RPM and 15-20whp/20-30wtq throughout the entire rev range. Yes, it's a boosted application, but with basically no other mods besides the ATLP Jpipe as stated. Although OP, in your sig it says you have a lot more than just the Jpipe?

I'm really hoping this will pan out for the 04-06 TL as well so that we can all use this. If so, I will be ordering it as soon as it's available.

LOL! What up Dave! More than likely it is possible. From my understanding to adjust from N/A to S/C on the Flash Pro wouldnt be a problem! Lemme kniw if you need help from what I can see the only issue would probably be the alternator mount for the blower, the elbow from the S/C connecting to the intake manifold and the elbow connecting to the Throttle body will probably have to be custom made but nothing is impossible

At the time of the tuning which was on Tuesday 12/11 all I had was the JPipe but as of last week Friday 12/14 I installed the RV6 V3 Jpipe and a full 3" catback exhaust so hopefully that would net me some gains

Sonnick, swapping ECU is a great idea, do u think I would be able to do a similar ECU swap for my 08 Accord and use this new hondata flashpro? The computech SC mods pretty easily but the tuner is thinking aem series 2. Since this is so new I bet he is not aware of this possibility.

Wait thinking about it now.....................
Shit no ecu modification should be needed for the 03-07 accords , we should plug and play just like the 04-06 tl......why ?
Because fp connect thru obd port not hardwired in ecu, we just wouldnt get same expected wtq as em on the fp basemap

Excuse my ignorance as i am still learning about these things but i've got a question.

Does this replace the stock ECU or does it "piggyback" onto the stock ECU like the AEM FIC or is it simply something used to reprogram the stock ECU??

^ It 'flashes' the ECU. This is not like the JnR where it replaces the ECU. It plugs into the OBDII port as Jiga said and you tune it that way from what I understand.

I'm not exactly sure of the specifics, but that's what I gather.

^Almost....The J&R is a piggyback, the stock ECU remains.

This reprograms the stock ECU so there is no replacement or piggybacking.

Yea the flashpro connects to obd port and connects to laptop...you street tune or dyno tune whatever floats your boat.
Then u simply unplug your flashpro once tuning session is completed and store it in your room till your ready to retune or flash back car exactly back to stock ecu.
Here's an answer In advance....No you cant borrow someones flashpro and tune someone elses car as it remains faihful to 1 car @ a time

Maybe all those thread about "chipping" and "flashing" etc will come to an end?

Wow, so this actually changes the parameters in the stock ECU as desired. THerefore for boosted cars no AEM FIC is even needed, correct?
