I'm currently looking at another set of tires for the 2G. Today, I have the OEM 205/60-16 Falken Ziex ZE-612. They faired decently for the past 2 years, but I was wondering if anyone has run optional sizes such as 215/55-16, 225/55-16, or 235/55-16 on their OEM wheel.

I'm targeting the 225/55-16s based on the size chart comparison and the speedo should be about the same.

OEM = 205 60 16 25.69
Option1 = 215 55 16 25.31
Option2 = 225 55 16 25.74

I actually only need 2 tires, but the shop I go to buy back used tires with decent tread life, so I hope to sell back 2 for a decent price to get 4 new tires so they are all the same size.

Looking for feedback from anyone that has run 225s or 215s and can comment if they liked it over the OEM 205s. Also, any pics will be great!!!

a wider foot print is always better!
you'll love a 215 or even a 225!!
just a wider tire that will fit on your stock rims!

good job looking at the overall rolling diameter, as that is important!

Yeah, well aware and just looking for some great feedback to include pics

The one thing I noticed is the mileage warranty drops with the different tire width (for example, 205 = 60K vs. 225 = 40K on the same tire brand), but I prefer performance now that I no longer live 35 miles away from work.

Yeah, go with the 225's as Justnspace suggested !!!
With your Florida climate, they will look and perform good for your stock 16" rims.

Been nice to have the 17" S rims for a few bucks more when doing the new tires, IMO.

Personally, unless you're going to lower the car, I think the shorter sidewall on the 17" tires makes the fender gap look even worse than it is. But yeah, I'd go with the 225s as others have recommended.

I agree... Can't drop it as the wife doesn't like the ride (she refuses to drive my RSX because of the stiff ride), so going to stick with the 16s for now. Will keep you guys posted and throw a pic up when I get them. Going a road trip Friday, so will try to get them before I go.

Separate note... Any suspension work would most likely be a switch to a Type S suspension. Do you guys feel its worth it?

Type S suspension swap would require springs and sway bars and will most likely kill any good ride you had with the much softer TL-p suspension.. You can also instead of going with TLS springs just go straight to H&R springs that will help you with that 4x4 stance.
