Wheel Cleaner?

What do you use? There's a lot on the shelf out there and what have you found to work best. I'm looking for a quick spray and hose off. Anything like that out there?

I use eagle one all wheel cleaner. I even have a pic of the bottle. I thought it was cool that it has a CL-S wheel on it.!!

But seriously, this stuff does work well in my opinion!

Thanks for the info. I had another car of mine detailed last year and my wheels were a mess. When I got it back, the alloy wheels looked brand new again. Whatever this guy used was remarkable. I asked him what he used and he told me and I forgot. One thing he did mention was it was in a purple bottle.

I don't want this happening to the CLS so I'm looking for a weekly spray on and rinse off solution. I'll give it a try!

I use this: Eimann Fabrik High Intensity Cleaner. This stuff gets off year-old brake dust. Used it on my wife's Integra alloys and they came out really nice.

If he said purple bottle, he might have meant the castrol wheel cleaner. I use that when they are out of the eagle one.

Spray Nine Marine cleaner. Spray on, scrub in & rinse. Wash with normal soap afterwards. Do not let sit idle on your painted parts though.

That's what I use as well. Works on more than just wheels too. You can dilute the intensity to clean anything.

I don't really know if there is any cleaner out there that you can just spray on and rinse off to get the wheels perfectly clean. To get them completely clean, some amount of scrubbing is required.

It's not the only place but I haven't found much of a price difference anywhere else. Also, I've never seen it in any local auto stores.

Its mild, safe, and cleans brake dust off well (does for me). IMO, it is overpriced and it doesn't clean the tires. I still have a ton of Eagle one tire goop for that purpose.

You might want to check the Autopia forum. When I talked with David from "AUTOPIA CAR CARE DETAILING SUPPLIES" about the various wheel cleaners, he did mention that certain people had problems with some of the cleaners. Some can be a bit aggressive if you're not careful how you use them...

The Autopia forum search is also useful...

YMMV
